Tragedy

Kyokushin has lost two of its family on Saturday 27/01/07 at 11:30pm.

Sempai Allison Melville OBE and Sempai William Melville (Mother and Son) were killed in a traffic accident whilst they were traveling home from the Kyokushin winter camp in Crieff. Also killed in the accident was Bill Melville, Husband to Allison and father to William.

Allison and William both 2nd Dan were Kyokushin students for many years, William Started training in 1983 and Fought for Scotland on may occasions; he was a great asset to the Scottish Kyokushin throughout the years. Allison started training in 1984 and also fought for Scotland in the WOKU team, she was involved with most of the organizing for many events and competitions throughout the years. Bill did not train but helped us out on many occasions.

These people were of immeasurable help, a great source of inspiration and will be sadly missed by us all as friends and fellow Kyokushin members.
